Memphis In The Meantime

So, we're rollin' down I-40 into the sundown, but what a trip it has been so far...

After we had loaded over 400-pounds of gear into the rental car we realized something must be wrong. For some reason the car wouldn't start. Turns out Beans put us in the wrong car.

Then we headed to Music Row to visit with an old friend. It was now Jessie's turn to misdirect the crew. After receiving a lengthy tour of Nashville's seedy alleys we finally arrived at our destination.

Now we're looking to pound some fast food before hitting the highway for Memphis. We also need to find a clean bathroom. Jessie wants indoor plumbing, a port-a-potty simply won't do...

Folk Alliance Eve

Jess Hey, we are on the way, well almost! Heading to Memphis tomorrow for the Folk Alliance shindig. I'm going through the roster of artists, and hoping to hook up with a goodly amount of them while we are there. Here re some of the folks we hope to get up close and personal with: The Refugees (Cindy Bullens, Wendy Waldman & Deborah Holland) Jimmy LaFave, Randy Weeks, Steve Poltz, Jeff Holmes of the Floating Men, Amy Speace, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Chris Knight, Jason Ringenberg, Idgy Vaughn, Charlie Louvin, Jimmy Davis, Liz and Lincoln, Audrey Auld, The Belleville Outfit, Dustin Welch, Cory Brannan, Travis Linville, Greg Trooper, Blind Corn Liquor Pickers, Ray Bonneville, just to name A FEW.

But don't hold us to this wish list, as things always have a life of their own at these events. We'll also be introducing some people to you that we have never seen or heard...that's part of the joy of going! Ahhhhh it's time to pack!
